The hostel life was getting way over done by this point in my trip, half way through week two I decided to trade in a hostel for a hotel that had its own spa services so I could feel like a person again and not like a backpacker who had worn the same 3 outfits for what seemed like the twentieth time in a row.
I checked into this beautiful place in Hoi An. It was right across from a big open field and behind it was a little forest of palm trees. The only thing I could hear were crickets and roosters.
My room was amazing! The bed was so comfortable, I got free tea and that bathroom was the perfect place to take a bubble bath for the first time in two years (not a lot of places in Asia have a bathtub). I had a little terrace to sit out on and have tea, there was a wonderful pool that was never crowded and the best part, free breakfast.
I had a facial while I was there and it was one of the best facials I have ever had. The hotel also offered free bicycles to the guests so that they can travel into town if they want. There is a great restaurant about a five minute walk down the street that serves both western and vietnamese cuisine called Restaurant and Cafe Tuan.
It is also about a ten minute ride from the centre of Hoi An where you can find its Ancient Town.
If you are in Hoi An I suggest staying at the Hoi An Field Villa and Spa.
